HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT AND LIFELONG LEARNING
We follow the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum which is the most widely accepted board curriculum in the country. Our curriculum aims at the holistic, all-round physical and cognitive development of the child. The thrust is on imparting the literacy and numeracy skills among the students. At the same time, the learning experience in the school would make students creative and self-motivated lifelong learners. Here, the intention is to harness their innate curiosity of personality into creating a desire to learn, not just the regular academic coursework, but also beyond it.
CONNECTING REAL WORLD WITH ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
Our pedagogical practices are essentially child-centric. We believe that through our guidance students will gain autonomy in learning. Our methods of teaching help the child to unearth an organic correlation between the academic knowledge and the apparently 'incomprehensible' Natural and Social World. Our constant guidance along with the innovative teaching methods allows students to find their footing in the real world, where their well-rounded, informed opinions are prized as the gems of future.
NO TO ROTE LEARNING
Our pedagogical approach discourages the practice of rote learning by the passive acquisition of facts. We believe that the core idea of education must go beyond mere recalling of few facts or information. Our students are encouraged to develop concept and academic reasoning, related to different subjects. Our pedagogy focuses on constructive, experiential, cooperative and collaborative learning involving the active participation of children. In our classrooms, the ability of students to be able to express their views and thoughts is generated through our questioning of them. We believe that thinking is not driven by answers but by questions. In order to keep the students engaged in thinking process, we relentlessly ask questions and encourage them to explore 'why' of something.
HANDS-ON TRAINING AND JOYFUL LEARNING
We don't believe in teaching abstract concept without making adequate reference to the concrete. The practical application of simple lessons, learnt through the class activities, is emphasized on. This "concrete to abstract approach" in our pedagogy helps students to comprehend certain concepts without any difficulty, which, as a consequence, makes learning joyful and effective.
REGULARITY OF LEARNING
There is no denying that learning something new seems hard, especially at the beginning when students are likely to struggle and make mistakes. But the learning becomes easy through practice. Students require practice both to comprehend an abstract idea and to track progress of their learning. Our teachers stick to a curriculum and focus on preparing their students for all-round development. Apart from innovative and highly engaging hands-on training, we rely heavily on textbooks, worksheets, drills and practice. To meet the end, we maintain hardnosed regularity in class and other daily home assignments. Students are expected to attend classes and complete all the home assignments at a regular basis. The discipline of everyday learning at this stage of their lives creates a strong positive attitude towards meaningful education throughout life.
